Ocarina of Time - Dark Link ' Crow '
His requiem awaits.
Name: Crow
Alias: Dark Link
Hair: Black
Eyes: Crimson
Height: 5'10
Skin: Pale
Body: Athletic Built (swordsman)
Race: Shade/Morpha
Element: Water
Residence: Water Temple
Timeline: Post OoT/TPWith how the cycle repeats, his existence will continue to be as long as there is a 'hero'; this much he began to resent as he grows tired of immortality. As the 'Dark Link' who had challenged and fought the Hero of Time within the halls of the Water Temple, his appearance remains similar to that Link and the day of his creation. From his conception he was an essence of the hatred Demise cursed the land with; originally testing the hero and copying his skills to figure out what he was capable of and how to retaliate this information to other monsters. After his and Morpha's defeat, what ever remains were left merged together with his essence in order to create a more stable version of himself; leading to his physical existence rather than confined in a illusionary space. This new form would be a mix of powers, including his original, copies of the hero, and skills inherited from Morpha.extra: He's a bit of a hoarder and will keep what amuses him within the halls and rooms of the Water Temple. He got into blacksmithing/goldsmithing while trying to make profit out of found items. Afterwards, he became heavily interested in the trade and learned after watching from the shadows of other masters.
Chapter 1: The shade
His creation, birth, and newfound will - after their fight, the shadow found himself lost wandering the outskirts of the Water Temple looking for that 'hero'. His mind told him to rid of the man as it had been his original duty. During this time, another odd shade approached him with a concept of 'The Scales of Demise'. This one named 'Terra' had been collecting dark beings in rise of the Demon King's return. Every fiber in his being told him this was the path to take and yet ... when face to face with the hero ... another offer had been laid upon the table.Chapter 2: The Brotherhood
"If your purpose is to defeat me, would it not make sense to follow me?" The hero named 'Time' offered him a choice to learn. The world was so vast and yet he knew so little of it. He was taught about society, about human nature, about the rules expected and thrown upon Hylians and Hyrule's people. Not that he would ever participate in such trivial things but ... Time gave him something more important - knowledge. Perhaps he had been tricked into it; to avoid the fight that would break the both of them. But after several years, no longer did it matter.
"You are much like a crow, I have noticed. Always eyeing anything that shines in the sun. Shall I begin to call you that, ...Crow?"Chapter 3: The Wolfchild
Reckless nights had led Time to come home with a child; to whom of which Crow despised at first. A baby in their lifestyle would have ruined everything ... yet Time's devotion to the child, his work, and Crow never faltered. It was during these days Crow had begin to pull away from the hero; finding his own calling to create things with his hands such as blacksmithing. Several time within the year would he return to showcase his new abilities and learned techniques. Until the passing of his precious friend happened, and when Twilight, the son of Time, found his days growing up, he had briefly taken care of him under Time's request. On the occasion after the man's death, he continues to keep an eye out on Twilight to fulfill the promise he made.Chapter 4: The Family
During this time was an era of new beginnings and chaos. A turbulent time where Crow had met many of whom he grew fond of. Before, he had sealed off his emotions, his heart, yet these new connections caused a better sense of being. From the wild child hero, to the pouty princess, the grown up wolf boy, and the shades who he passed his knowledge onto, one could say he found his ' family '. Of course not all times were tranquil - he dealt with the resurrection of Demise's scales, along with a doll who's very purpose was to rid of the princess alongside the Dark Lord. Regardless of it all, he felt the most alive.Chapter 5: The Isolation
Until the world went quiet.
The cycle continued and all those of that era began to pass away. Everyone he knew disappeared before his eyes. Everyone he loved was nothing but a fleeting memory. It pained him. Broke his very being as he cursed the gods of this never ending life. But he knew he couldn't. As long as the hero lived, he lived. As long as Demise's will was strong throughout Hyrule, his eternal suffering would continue.Chapter 6: The Dream
And so he slept.
Slept.
Slept.
Slept.
Until the memories began to fade away, and left was the shell of a shade with only the curiosity of the land before him.
Hi I'm Storm, the writer for Crow. Thanks for reaching up to this point (I know it was a lot). Although this goober has heavy backstory, I am 100% open to add more with anyone. If you have any questions, please feel free to DM me, or ask for my discord (I'm always online there lol). Aside from that, I can't wait to write with you all.As for myself, I've written Crow since 2017, but I've been roleplaying for more than I can even count (lets just say I use to rp when Naruto came out every Saturday on TV pfft). I love writing and brainstorming up new stories, whether it be Zelda related or not. If you ever want to write with OCs I'll be so excited for that too!
